3 simple tests to know where your strength, balance, and stamina really stand
Strength keeps everyday movement easy, balance keeps you steady, and stamina keeps you going the distance. Find out where you stand on all three, so you know what to prioritize.
Best for people ready to start moving again, consistently, even if it’s been a while.
What to expect
- Three short videos, one per day, a few minutes each.
- Follow along with a physical therapist for each test.
- Compare your results to others in your age range to see where you stand.
- Walk away knowing exactly what to prioritize.

I’m Dr. Alyssa Kuhn, a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in helping people over 50 stay active despite joint pain and stiffness.
Most advice for joint pain tells you to slow down and be gentle. I believe in something different: a progressive, structured approach that builds real strength, balance, and stamina, so you can keep doing the things you love, not just manage around them.
Whether your goal is climbing stairs without thinking twice, walking longer distances, getting back to hiking, or simply staying off the surgeon’s schedule, this is where that starts.
These are the same tests I use to track real progress with the people I work with every day. I hope they give you a clear, honest starting point, wherever you’re at.
