Everything you need to know before you begin your adventure.

The membership currently has 6 Levels. You’ll take an intake quiz to find out which Level you test into based on your current abilities and pain. Each Level has 5 steps, and you move through one step at a time. Each step includes at least 2 workouts and at least 2 tests to pass before moving on. You’ll stay in each step until you’ve completed the workouts 2–5 times each.
  • Foundation Level: Improving standing tolerance
  • Building Level: Improving walking distance
  • Progressing Level: Building foundational strength
  • Strengthening Level: Stairs and getting up/down from the floor
  • Advancing Level: Higher intensity strength, power, and stamina
  • Mastery Level: Continuing to improve lifelong strength
This program takes a full body approach. The way the rest of your body moves directly impacts each of your joints — for example, your hips and lower back can affect how your knee moves. This program is suitable for: Knee Osteoarthritis, Hip Osteoarthritis, Spine Osteoarthritis / Chronic Back Pain, Degenerative Disc Disease, Ankle Osteoarthritis, and Shoulder Osteoarthritis.
The whole goal of this membership is to create a community of encouragement, support, and togetherness. There is a members-only Facebook Community, and Dr. Alyssa, PT and team are available via email at info@keeptheadventurealive.com for tech support, guidance, and any questions along the way.
Most members complete workouts 3–5 times per week. Ultimately it comes down to what works best for you. The Workout Library also offers shorter routines if you’re short on time.
Equipment needs depend on your starting level. Recommended items include:
  • Dumbbells starting at 1–5 lbs (soup cans work for the Foundation & Building Levels!)
  • A sturdy, firm chair without wheels
  • Small loop resistance bands (Foundation through Advancing Levels)
  • Resistance tubing that closes in a door (Progressing through Advancing Levels)
  • Mini aerobic step or step stool (~4 inches)

Yes — Adventurers for Life can help with both! Key treatments for stronger bones include weight-bearing exercise, resistance training, and higher impact work. The workouts inside the membership are designed to give you the best of both worlds: building stronger bones without flaring up your joints.
An overwhelming yes! After joint replacement, rebuilding strength and preventing compensations is essential. Adventurers for Life provides an excellent path to continue building strength, balance, and stamina — so you can keep the adventure alive for years to come.
